QUOTE: What is meant for you will arrive in clarity, not confusion (from @steven) JOKE: Did you hear about the two spiders that just got married?!? I HEARD THEY MET ON THE WEB! (Amy shared this in honor of Kat & Big P's wedding shower this last weekend - since they met online - shout out Hinge!) THE MEANING OF LIFE: The meaning of life. To give love and receive love. (from @MelRobbins) Love is a verb. Demonstrate it. Express it. Show it. And allow yourself to receive love - let it in- in ALL beautiful forms..... A smile from a stranger The sun rising every morning A hug from someone you love Helping out a neighbor A high-five in the mirror Checking in on a friend Showing up Love is expressed in so many ways. Receive it all and express it every single day. LISTENER EMAILS: Email from Donnetta: I'm catching up on the Bobby Bones Show podcast (I'm way behind!) and just heard the segment about one of your kids going by a different name at school. I love that you are trying to be supportive of your kid in their name choice. When I was in 4th grade, I wanted so badly to be Kelly Kapowski from Saved by the Bell, and I was tired of people struggling with my name (and mocking my last name, which was Stonerock....lots of Flintstones jokes made at my expense), so I started signing my assignments with the name Kelly. My math teacher (which was at a private school) decided to keep me from getting the grades I earned because "there's no Kelly in this class" and without my name on a paper (in a class of 8, mind you. Process of elimination should have been pretty simple), I got a zero. When my parents heard about it, I got into so much trouble for trying to change my name because they had put time and effort into my name. I remember being so angry and feeling like they didn't care about my feelings or opinions, nor were they interested in listening to anything I had to say. All that to say, it actually helps my inner child to hear your very different approach to a similar situation.Email from Kayla: You asked in a recent the 5th thing episode about whether episode titles affect how we listen. I’m sure it’s different for everyone but I personally do enjoy getting a little glimpse of what the episode is going to entail, so that I can gauge if it would be a good time for me to listen to a particular episode based on my mood. For example, I recently skipped one about grief because while it’s been 11 years since my dad passed, I just wasn’t in a place that day to listen to anything heavy or grief related. While I like the idea of a cute title such as “food, free people, & freeing your mind”, I really appreciate the titles that provide some insight as to what the episode covers. Love everything y’all do! keep it up! Email from Hannah: Just started listening to your podcast, so I’m going back and listening to past episodes. Just listen to your newest episode today and I’m not going to lie if I see a title that has nothing to do with me or something that I’m not interested in knowing or learning about. I have skipped it. I love your show so far. I listen to Bobby bones show all the time and one day I looked your name up on Apple Podcasts and found this one!4 THINGS GRATITUDE: Amy and Kat both share what they're currently thankful for in these 4 categories: -Food or Drink -TV Show or Movie -IG Follow -Book & MORE!!!
