I love all kinds of music - jazz, funk, reggae, psychedelic rock, and of course electronica. For over 20 years I've been making music using synths, drum machines, and computers, first more downtempo lounge music and more recently deep house music with a dubby feel. When a good house track has a perfect groove with the right amount of swing or bounce...that is magic to my ears. I prefer thick, hard hitting drum sounds and spacious synth work, and I am attracted to tracks that blend a perfect groove with impeccable mixdown work and production. I get excited about a great sound over the speakers and use that as inspiration for my own efforts. There is a whole world of science and technique that goes into making a song hit just right, and I love playing around in pursuit of that, never quite reaching it, and trying again.
