We are playing a word association game and I’ve got list of 8 ways that kids can express their creativity at home. We will wrap up our time with a little chat about creative ways that kids can make money. Kids Car Game - Word Association Have you ever played the word association game? This is our first time playing this game on Along For The Ride!  Here’s how we’ll play: I’m going to say a word and then you share the word that pops into your brain! I’ll give you a few seconds for you to answer. But don’t say the word that I say. You have to say a different word! 8 Ways Kids Can Express Creativity  Paint something big or large scale. Make something with found objects. Invent a solution or a better way for something. Learn to play an instrument. Write everyday. Read stories. Make up games. Spend time without devices.  Which of these activities sounds like the most fun and exciting ? Now you have an idea of what you’d like to do, and it’s time to do something about it! Make a plan to try one of these ideas this weekend or next week!  5 Ways Kids Can Make Money Lemonade Stand.  Learn a craft and sell it at a local fair.  Easy Yard Work. Special chores around the house. Selling things you already have. Kids are naturally creative. Committing time for that creativity to flourish is so important! Parents, as you see your kid enjoying certain creative hobbies, encourage them to keep going! I remember when I was younger, I was always writing stories and sharing them with my parents. My mom would say, “You know, you’d make a great writer someday! I think you’ll be a writer when you grow up!” And that encouragement from her was so special. She saw my creativity as something special, and made me believe that I could do something special.
