The Magic Porridge Pot

A little girl and her mother are so poor that they cannot afford to feed themselves and often go hungry. One day, whilst collecting firewood in the forest, the little girl comes upon an old woman and shows her an act of kindness by collecting her firewood for her. To repay her, the old woman gives her a magic pot that will boil as much porridge as the girl could wish. It will only start and stop boiling with the magic words. The little girl’s mother decides to make some porridge. But alas! she cannot remember the words to stop the pot from boiling. Soon porridge fills the house and runs out through the door…..
