Sugar-Free Gum Almost Killed Our Dog

We knew about chocolate and grapes being bad for dogs but had no idea that chewing gum could kill our dog. Yep, sugar-free gum, candy, or food that contains Xylitol can kill your dog. Thank goodness we Googled "dog ate chewing gum" all those years ago after one of our dogs got onto the kitchen table and got into a package of sugar-free gum. After a very expensive emergency vet visit, and a nerve-wracking 24 hours, we had a happy ending, but that's not the case for everyone. Please share this ...
