The winner of the competition then goes on to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. Out of over 2200 entries, twenty-eight acts go through four Heats and a Semi Final Round before the top twelve go into the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2023 on 11 Mar, held once again at the Friends Arena in Solna (near Stockholm) in front of a live audience of almost 30000 spectators, plus millions of TV viewers both in Sweden and abroad. Loreen with JP after winning Heat 4 of Melodifestivalen 2023   Eurovision Winner 2012 - Loreen advanced directly to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen with the song "Tatoo".
