Ep67: Cat, Quaid & Manawanui - Chemical Pregnancies, Hospital Birth with Perineum Support, Homebirth in COVID-19 Pandemic

Kiwi Birth Tales - Un pódcast de Jordyn Kayes

In this episode of Kiwi Birth Tales I speak with Cat about the births of her two children. Cat takes us through her first two pregnancies which were unfortunately chemical pregnancies, and then through falling pregnant with Quaid. She ended up giving birth in hospital where her midwife used a warm flannel on her perineum and she didn't have any tearing. Cat talks through adjusting to life with a newborn and their breastfeeding journey. She then takes us through falling pregnant again and deciding to birth at a birth centre. This all changed when Cats midwife gave her some information about birth support in the COVID-19 pandemic and she decided to birth at home (something they had discussed previously but not decided on). She takes us through their beautiful, fast homebirth and what life has been like in isolation since. Thanks so much for joining me on the podcast Cat! A huge thank you to Elevit for sponsoring this episode of the podcast!
