Can a child with special needs learn piano? Of course they can! Every child has music inside of them, and it's up to the music teacher to help them find it. I’ve worked with kiddos of all different disabilities and needs in music and there definitely is not a one size fits all approach. With special needs kids, a lot of teachers need to realize that the traditional style of learning or the method books won’t work. Why? Because special needs kids need a lot more patience and personalized approach based on what they need. In this episode, we'll explore some of the different needs your child might have and ways they can still learn piano in their own timing and way.
