What not to say to a NICU Mum & Navigating NICU during the Pandemic

This week we are talking about what not to say to a NICU Mum and what to say instead. We acknowledge that if you have not been through the NICU experience, it can be hard to know what to say, that words often come from a place of wanting to reassure and not from a place of ill intent. We talk through common phrases that our community has heard and how they can impact us, with a hope of spreading awareness and starting the conversation about how to support a NICU Mum in an empathic way. We also speak with Salma, @pandemic_preemie who talks passionately about her experience of being in NICU at the start of the pandemic.
