Gabby's Difficult Birth and Postpartum Experience

Mommy Labor Nurse - Un pódcast de Liesel Teen - Miercoles

This week on The Mommy Labor Nurse Podcast, I am joined by fellow mom, Gabby. Gabby reached out to share her difficult birth story with us and to hopefully inspire others to advocate for their care if they are not being treated right. When Gabby got in touch with us, she explained that her appearance caused an inattentive and hostile labor process in which she had to advocate for her care. You’ll hear her talk about how her epidural caused a panic attack that was not taken seriously and more. After birth, Gabby suffered from postpartum anxiety and postpartum OCD and was only offered help at 9 months when it was severe. I am so grateful that Gabby was willing to come on to the show to share her story because every birth needs to have a voice and sometimes telling your story can be a step forward in the healing process.
