While Singapore’s drug situation generally remains under control, 126 new drug abusers below 20-years-old were arrested in 2024, a 30 per cent increase from 97 the previous year. For two years now, more than half of the new abusers arrested were below 30 years old.  Methamphetamine continued to be the most commonly abused drug last year, followed by heroin and cannabis.
