The Goon Show - The Canal

"The Canal" is an episode from "The Goon Show," first broadcast on November 2, 1954. The plot follows young Ned Seagoon, who returns to his ancestral home, Seagoon's Folly, after forty-three years at school. He finds the house empty except for a sinister oriental valet, a refugee heroin importer, and the butler, Gravelly Headstone. Mysterious events unfold, including the digging of a fifty-foot-long grave in the rose garden and the discovery of a secret passage from the grave to Seagoon's bedroom.
