When things go wrong at work, there’s usually someone to swoop in and save the day. But what about the folks who work hard to ensure nothing ever goes wrong? Sometimes they may get some recognition eventually, but usually, these are the ones who fly under the radar. We usually don’t know their names or their deeds. Because they fade into the background. What’s interesting is many organizations incentivize the hero mindset over incentivizing these nameless heroes who fly under the radar.
