2024 confirmed as the hottest year on record

The World Meteorological Organisation and NASA have confirmed that 2024 was the hottest year on record, with temperatures spurred on by greenhouse gas driven climate change. And the Bureau of Meteorology says it was the second hottest year on record in Australia after 2019.
