Peace y'all! It's been quite some time since you last heard from me. I've been working a lot on rugs recently through very late nights and while working, I fell into a rabbit hole of Kanye West's Sunday Service Choir material -- I've probably watched all the performances they've done in their 10 months of touring. The great thing about each concert they do on tour is that each show is different and they add new songs to their setlist consistently. The Sunday Service Choir is led by Jason White, a veteran in the gospel music space and a lot of these songs are rewritten in a Christian/gospel lens by Nikki Grier, transforming songs by Roddy Ricch, Destiny's Child, SWV, and a lot more. Now I made it easier for you guys by digging through hours of their concerts and curating my favorite tracks together, so here's my take on gospel covers for lovers by the Sunday Service Choir.
