Self-Immolation at Nauru Prison Camp

Omid Masoumali immolated himself on April 26th, 2016, on the island of Nauru. Nauru is one of several open-air prisons where Australia keeps its refugees – refugees who have claims the Australian government itself acknowledges as legitimate.
