Professor Freeman is best known for his work on the topics of Stakeholder Management and Business Ethics, as well as his award-winning book, Strategic Management: A Stakeholder Approach, first published in 1984 and reissued in 2010 by Cambridge University Press. Professor Freeman discusses stakeholder theory, curricular reform in business schools, and how corporate purpose ties into building back better post-COVID-19: “Look, I’ve got to make red blood cells to live, but it doesn’t follow that the purpose of my life is to make red blood cells.
