This was manifest in four specific ways: questioning God’s love, offering impure sacrifices, marrying outside of the covenant, and the lack of diligence in keeping the commandments. 09:25 – Malachi 1.3 says “I hated Esau.” Reading this troubling passage in its proper historical context will help make it more clear. Readers can also work to balance this scripture with gospel principles that clearly teach God loves all his children. 15:36 – Malachi prophesies of a pure offering. The Doctrine and Covenants unlocks the meaning of this passage as a book of remembrance containing records of temple ordinances for the living and the dead. 28:10 – Tree and temple imagery are found in Malachi’s words. 32:33 – Malachi 4.2 speaks of “The sun of righteousness arising with healing in her wings.” The Hebrew text of this verse helps us to see our Heavenly Mother. 38:44 – Elijah will prepare the way for the Second Coming, turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers. → Bryce Dunford’s Website → Apple Podcasts → Google Podcasts → Spotify → Amazon Music → Stitcher → Facebook → YouTube
