Technically speaking, you are still not pregnant yet. But before you fret over the persisting uncertainty, Week 2 is just the favourable time. Why you ask! Well, you ovulate about two weeks into your menstrual cycle, which tends to be the most prominent period for conceiving. And considering your doctor uses your last menstrual period to identify your due date, ideally, you are pregnant before you even conceive. So, in Week 2, there is still no baby, however, it is coming and your body is preparing for it. During this time, the egg is maturing and your uterus lining is getting thicker to prepare itself for a new life. And, if the sperm successfully makes its way to an egg waiting in the fallopian tube, you will enter the amazing time of pregnancy. But is there anything you can do to have a higher chance of conceiving during this time? Keep taking your prenatal vitamins, have frequent sex, consult your healthcare provider to ensure you are in your best condition, take out time for self-care, and most of all keep your mind and body positive for the pregnancy journey. Join us every week to take out time and converse with your unborn baby through our audio series - Talking Womb with obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Nitika Sobti.Talking Womb podcast is a collaboration between Virtue Baby and Ep.Log Media You can follow us and leave us feedback on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @eplogmedia, For partnerships/queries send you can send us an email at [email protected].
