Most of us are familiar with series signal chains because that’s what happens when you connect any two pedals together: one flows into the other. Parallel is where the signal is split before two effects, then hits them separately and is mixed back together again afterwards. You might think that combining two pedals would produce the same results however you connect them. Well, not so, as we discover.
