Episode 9 - Designing by Gaming Engines?

Gaming engines have been around since the very first person shooter, Wolfenstein 3D. These engines are starting to be used in Architecture as a way to present the scheme to clients, juries or for use internally. This week we discuss the possible uses of gaming engines in Architecture whether that as a design aid in documentation, assessing schemes and winning competitions through to recording historical buildings. In 1900, German mathematician David Hilbert presented a list of maths problems that had been unsolved for centuries. This eventually became a list of 23 maths problems whereby some have been solved whiles others are still being worked on. BVN is proposing a list of problems be put out in the Architecture industry and have started to trend on Twitter using the #bigquestions and #architecture.
