Green Door shelter is a registered non-profit organisation that offers temporary shelter, emotional support, and counsel to survivors of rape and gender-based violence in the Diepsloot community. Brown Lekekela who we’ll be speaking to today, set up Green Door shelter in his backyard to give a place of safety victims of GBV in Diepsloot. He runs the shelter single-handedly and has dedicated his life to supporting and achieving justice for survivors of GBV.
