Asking for help can be so hard, for grown-ups and kids alike! Knowing when and how to ask for help and where to find support is an important skill that is developed with time and practice, that most of us are still learning. How wonderful would it be if our kids could learn this while they are young and the stakes are low? So, for this episode, I wanted to give you a resource on how to help children learn the important skill of figuring out when they need support and ask for it. Nyasha Chikowore is a clinical psychologist and a licensed clinical professional counselor who provides classroom and school-wide prevention activities related to mental health, with an emphasis on destigmatizing asking for any type of help. She is currently working on her doctorate in clinical psychology. To get more resources on this topic, check out linktr.ee/nyashamc and follow Nyasha on Instagram @nyashamc.
