We had the loveliest talk with Kathryn Williams during her stay in Antwerp! Kathryn is not just flutist, but also composer and artistic researcher. Her current project, Coming Up for Air, started in 2017 as a playful creative response to living with chronic respiratory conditions by inviting composers to write flute pieces limited to a single breath. The project now includes over 150 pieces and a new flute concerto based on the project will premiere with the Luxembourg Philharmonic on 21 November 2024 at Rainy Days Festival in Luxemburg!!
