But she quickly wanted to do more, and was dipping into her personal finances to buy items to meet the needs of children in foster care. Anna and her husband couldn’t stand the thought of children sleeping at the DCS office when a foster family couldn’t be found, so they shifted roles to become foster parents specifically for respite and emergency placements. Anna shares her unique journey with us from being a case worker to becoming a foster parent and insights along the way about supporting the foster care community.
