Episode 24: From A Goalie's Perspective

With the 'is goal scoring an issue in the NHL and if so how do we fix it?' debate running rampant in the hockey sphere, we figured it was a good excuse to get Jamie McLennan back on the show. We discuss how much the goaltending position itself has changed over time, with more attention to detail having been placed on technique and coaching. We also mull over all of the potential alternatives and whether they have any merit including cutting down goalie equipment, making the blue crease smaller, and/or making the nets larger. There doesn't appear to be a single cut-and-dried answer, but the debate itself is a worthwhile one.
