#34 What transparency requires

The Mothering Myself Podcast - Un pódcast de Susan Kinahan

What is your relationship with transparency? Do you feel like you can be fully transparent with others in your life, or are there aspects of yourself and/or your experiences that you feel are necessary to hide? This episode builds off of the previous episodes that explore the totality of who we are. We consider what transparency is and how we have and/or have not experienced transparency in various areas of our lives and our relationships. Is transparency self-responsibility, accountability, or vulnerability? Does the lack of transparency correlate with deeply held fears of what others will think? Are we so entangled in what we think we need to be that we forget who we are? Are we more afraid of dealing with what the truth may reveal than living within the illusion that we have been sold? This episode uncovers the layers that cloak our ability to be transparent personally and collectively. We ask ourselves why it is we learn to hide the truth and what it is that we feel we need to hide, and what purpose this serves?
