Was it fair for the Canadian fans to boo the national anthem on Saturday night which led to a bevy of fights to begin the game against the United States? Former Penguin, now Team USA GM, Bill Guerin thinks that’s what fired up the team and got them going in a 3-1 win. Should politics be dripping into games like this? But is fighting OK in that case or does it make it a circus? What is the line to be drawn with people booing? The guys are at Mike’s Beer Bar and they talked about Donny’s engagement celebration there the other night. Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. TK thinks the US definitely found motivation when fans in Canada booed the Star-Spangled Banner on Saturday night. Tyler did feel like the fights were premeditated, which took away from their impact. He isn’t sure if the Americans will beat Sidney Crosby and Canada twice. Tyler talked about the feeling of going into enemy territory and winning a big game. TK told stories of winning big ones in Philly and what it was like leaving the arena. TK has decided his allegiance for tomorrow – he’s rooting for Sid & Canada, his home country. Tyler talked about a big fight early in his career at Mellon Arena.
