HOUR 2 - Skenes' motivation, Floor & Cap, Mike Florio

It’s been a tough 12+ hours for Austin Bechtold after the massive upset loss for Baldwin boys hoops last night. We talked about Paul Skenes and his motivation for this Pirates team. How far can he take this team? It doesn’t sound like Rob Manfred is worried about the small market teams in baseball trying to compete with the big dogs. The players will never want a salary cap because it limits their own gain, but why not a salary floor? Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. If Art Rooney is the big backer of Russell Wilson, does that make it a foregone conclusion that he is back? Mike would still be surprised if Wilson is back because he is shot physically. Mike still thinks it’s smarter to roll with Justin Fields in 2025. Will Najee Harris be back next season? Mike said the scouting combine is tampering central, despite teams not being allowed, so Harris will likely have an idea of interested teams. Mike talked about the competition level of free agency with some of the guys they have hitting the market. Mike got into some of the stuff he will be getting into at the combine next week.
