HOUR 3 - Another QB visit, Mike Renner, Debrief

Another QB is in town with Kyle McCord coming into the facility today. The Steelers have spent a lot of time with QBs going into this draft, which is just 10 days away. How long into the draft should they wait to take a QB? What are some of the player comps to the QBs in this class? NFL Draft analyst Mike Renner from CBS Sports joined the show. Mike said the best-case scenario for the Steelers on draft night is avoiding a 1st round QB and hoping a top tier CB falls into their lap. Mike said there’s often a reason why a QB slides during the opening round and an Aaron Rodgers out of that is rare to find. The guys asked Mike his thoughts on a few of the other QB options outside of Cam Ward. Mike doesn’t see really any franchise QBs out of this group, outside of the first guy. Mike predicted that next year’s class of QBs will be ‘considerably better’ than the ’25 group. Mike loves Derrick Harmon – saying he’s a Top 12 guy on his board and think he just feels like a Steeler. What about some of the other top DL? Will the Steelers consider RB at 21 outside of Ashton Jeanty? The guys wanted to get Mike’s take on some of the receivers. Mike sees Travis Hunter as more of a WR than CB.
