It's been more than a week since the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha'apai volcano erupted, sending an ash cloud kilometres into the sky, and fuelling a deadly tsunami that was felt by nations across the Pacific. But despite many days having now passed, we still have very little information about what's happening on the ground as the recovery effort has been badly impacted by the destruction of Tonga's only undersea communications cable.
