231: Cat Bateman on singing, swimming, and coping with diabetes
The Scummy Mummies Podcast - Un pódcast de Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn - Martes
Categorías:
Our guest for this episode is the awesome Cat Bateman from Little Folk Nursery Rhymes! She tells us what it's like being the least annoying baby music group singer of all time, and what she secretly thinks of some of the parents. Cat also shares her experience of having a son with type 1 diabetes. She reveals how she coped with the initial diagnosis, why things are easier now, and the surprising thing her son has to say regarding how he feels about his condition. We chat about Cat's other son, who was recently hospitalised with post-covid inflammatory syndrome. As we say in the episode, it's extremely rare, but still worth knowing about. You can find out more info via the NHS. Then things get a bit more lighthearted as Cat tries to convince Ellie that cold water swimming is a good idea, and we discuss the difference between an apron and a gunt. There are some top Scummy Mummy Confessions involving chickpeas and injections, and in a podcast first, our guest plays us a song she wrote just for us.
