Behind Enemy Lines w/ Daniel Berke

The Sod's Law Podcast - Un pódcast de GoldBean Studios

This week I’m talking to solicitor and author Daniel Berke… Daniel is a lawyer specialising in criminal, professional discipline and regulatory law.  In a voluntary capacity he has worked on a range of cases, one that is ongoing and particularly sensitive; The assisting of two prominent Afgan women, one an MP, the other a judge, in obtaining entry visas to the UK as they’re currently living in hiding in from the Taliban in Afganistan. We’ve split this episode into two halves as I’d originally booked Daniel on to talk about a book he’s written about his grandfather, who served in the British special forces in Burma in WWII, enduring two years of captivity at the hands of the Japanese. It’s called Captured Behind Japanese Lines: With Wingate's Chindits, Burma 1942-45 and it’s available to pre-order NOW on Amazon! I should also say that Daniel’s lovely wife Carmel has featured on the podcast not once, but twice, and this is definitely one of the most interesting conversations I’ve had to date...
