Relentless IVF w/ Lewis Vaughan Jones

The Sod's Law Podcast - Un pódcast de GoldBean Studios

This week I’m talking to Chief Presenter for BBC Global News, Lewis Vaughan-Jones. Over the Xmas holiday this year our whole family was staying in a gorgeous cottage in North Wales in front of a roaring fire, when a news piece came up on the TV saying that BBC News presenter Lewis and his wife Hannah, also a news presenter, had after more than 15 rounds of IVF, succeeded in having their first child - called Sonny. Now for those of you who’ve listened to some of the previous episodes of the podcast, you may already know that my wife Victoria and I had a rough couple of years when it came to growing our family. And unless you know us personally, you wouldn’t know that our son, now four, is called Samson - known as Sonny. Within minutes of seeing this news piece I had contacted Lewis over social media and asked if they’d be open to talking to me about what they’d been through. This is one of my favourite episodes so far in that Lewis is a delight to talk to, and if you hang on until near the end I reveal some personal news that until this recording we hadn’t intended to make public on the podcast! -- If you'd like to support Sod's Law you can become a Sod's Law patron at patreon.com/sodspod from as little as £1 /$1 a month - there are different tiers including ad-free episodes, giveaways and more!
