Bonus Ep: Ukrainian Refugee & Aid Worker Stories - Tzvi (JRoots Distribution Centre)
The Sod's Law Podcast - Un pódcast de GoldBean Studios
This is a bonus minisode of the Sod’s Law podcast, recorded in Kraków, Poland, where I traveled to record Ukrainian refugee and aid-worker stories exactly one month after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Tzvi Sperber of JRoots took me to one of their refugee centres to see what they had set up over the last few weeks. Tzvi and his team were going from room to room checking everyone had everything they needed, and in one room there was a young lady who couldn’t have been older than 20, looking much younger. She was lying on a blow-up mattress with a weeks-old baby across her chest, to whom she’d given birth during the war. When asked if we could provide her with anything such as food, clothing or anything else, she said all she needed was a stroller/pram for her baby. The response was an immediate, “We will try and find you one, and if we can’t find one, we’ll buy one.” Within the hour Tzvi had sourced a bassinet within their distribution centre, and delivered it to the mother and child. -- See podcast.co/privacy for privacy information.
