Uniting Communities w/ Rizwan Wadan
The Sod's Law Podcast - Un pódcast de GoldBean Studios
This week we have a returning guest; Filmmaker, camera expert and genuine man of God, my friend Rizwan Wadan! Riz came on the podcast back in October 2021 to talk about how he and his team at Pixeleyed have been working on a ground-breaking anti-terrorism campaign in order to connect religious communities from all over the UK.- called Uniting Communities. They had planned to do screenings of the Uniting Communities short films months ago - Rizwan mentioned it last time and I had the pleasure of being invited. Then the Colleyville, TX Synagogue happened, and the news of the attacker's Blackburnian roots rocked the local community. In the attack's aftermath Riz set up a screening with members of the Blackburn/Darwen community from various backgrounds, and it was incredible. Many people in the room had never met a Jew before, and I can say for certain it was one of the most refreshing series of conversations I’ve ever been involved in. After everyone had left, Riz and I sat down to record this episode, and I really think you’ll like it as much as I did.
