When she did fall pregnant, she tragically experienced a sudden loss of amniotic fluid at 18 weeks gestation, which led to an emergency induction and the heartbreaking loss of her son. They discuss Nikita's experience with the medical system during this difficult time, including feeling rushed on the day her son was born to complete paperwork.
