Today’s episode is very special, because we’ll take a look at Whitney Houston’s most successful song. It’s special because this week, on August 9th, Whitney would have turned 57 years old. 

We’re taking a look at a love song that’s not dedicated to a lover, a country song that became an international pop-R&B smash, a song whose most famous cover was not supposed to happen… a song that was actually supposed to be covered by another artist, and a song that was revived following the death of its most recognized singer. This is the story of today’s episode.

A song that reminded us to let go when we know we’re not the right fit for another person, a song that has become a number 1 single in three consecutive decades, and the most successful movie song ever in music history.
