Cats are living longer than ever. As they age, the prevalence of chronic kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, periodontal disease, arthritis and cognitive dysfunction rise. Nutrition plays a role in minimizing clinical or slowing progression of these conditions, but senior cats with no diagnosed chronic illness also have altered nutritional requirements.
