NATO and EU leaders tour the Baltics to address security challenges on the border with Belarus. The crisis, however, remains far from over as NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warns that people are still trying to enter the bloc illegally from Belarus. More questions arise rather than were answered after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s press conference marathon with journalists last week. As Western security agencies sound the alarm over Russian troop build-up at the border with Ukraine, Zelenskyy confirms to receiving information over an alleged coup attempt involving one of the most powerful Ukrainian oligarchs Rinat Akhemetov. Visegrad Insight Editor-in-Chief Wojciech Przybylski re-unites with Richard Youngs, senior fellow at Carnegie Europe, after a panel discussion on Central Europe and Biden’s Summit for Democracy at the Open Eyes Economy Summit in Kraków. Youngs elaborates on his latest book that explores the shortcomings and successes of democratic resilience in the face of illiberal populism, the Conference on the Future of Europe, the Visegrad Pact of Free Cities, digital activism and more in this week’s interview.
